I wasn't born when India won the cricket world cup in 1983. The historical win laid the foundation of the gentleman's game in India and made Indians including me and you obsessive of cricket. I know the man who led India to register historical win, I know Kapil Dev.
Yesterday I saw a short YouTube video starring cricket icon Kapil Dev in which he introduces a new upcoming League. Well, he only says few introduction words but nothing is revealed about this league. His few words are enough to grab our attention because he says celebrities will fail if they play this new league with all their heart.
What is this #EkNayiLeague? What is Kapil Dev talking about? Well, I don't know anything about it but I can make few guesses about this new league. Even though Kapil Dev doesn't leave any clear clues for us, it's possible to find out some hidden clues.
Here, I am trying to check my guessing abilities.
#EkNayiLeague will be based on cricket
Kapil Dev won us our first cricket world cup and he is one of the icons of Indian cricket. By bringing Kapil Dev as this league's ambassador or anchor, the intention is clear. This new league should be either fully or partially related with cricket.
#EkNayiLeague will have different rules
Don't expect a cricket league similar to Indian Premiere League. Even though the League will have a connection with cricket, the set of rules of this new league will be entirely different from the official rules of real cricket. It's understood from Kapil Dev's words. It will be different; it will be exciting.
#EkNayiLeague will be about actions using brains
If you play with your heart then it would be a hit wicket! Hence there is no role for hearts in this league. I guess this new league will be about actions that require brains and not hearts. It will be a league where intelligence tops emotions. The success of participants depends on how they face challenges throughout the league.
#EkNayiLeague will have celebrities
Yes, the participants of the league will be celebrities. Celebrities can be from any field but I strongly suspect that the participants are Bollywood celebrities. The new league would be more colourful when the celebrities add flavour of Bollywood in it.
#EkNayiLeague will be extraordinary
I am not sure about my above guesses but I can predict this easily, the league will be extraordinary with exciting actions. The league will be filled with exciting and thrilling moments because of the fresh concept. The league will fulfill the expectations of spectators.
