4G NETWORKS AND MY EXPECTATIONS

Advancements in technology are unstoppable. After 2G and 3G, now it's time for high speed 4G networks. In this smartphone era, when coming to internet usage, speed is considered as the most important factor. After 3G, the arrival of 4G ensures solutions to internet speed problems. As usual, I also have certain expectations from upcoming 4G networks in India.

Following are my expectations:

1.       Stream, stream and stream
When the 3G networks came I thought I could stream seamlessly. But the truth I still have streaming problems in 3G networks. In order to stream low resolution and short duration videos, 3G network is enough but when I want to stream high resolution videos of long duration the 3G network fails miserably. With high speed 4G network, I expect to stream unlimited with no interruptions so that I can watch YouTube movies and stage shows without the ‘stuck’ problems.

2.       Download, download and download
Downloading big files using 3G network is a painful process for me. For example, if I want to download a big game like FIFA 2015 to my phone then I need to leave my phone for a long time and sometimes download gets stuck in between and I lose all my data. Yes, downloading big files is a time consuming process. With the arrival of 4G, I expect a perfect solution for my downloading problems. With 4G, I expect to download movies, games, apps and songs in the short period of time.

3.       Browse, browse and browse
As the mobile phone browsers like Google Chrome, UC Browser, Dolphin etc. are competing themselves to make them heavy to increase the level of user experience, I usually find glitches in browsing even in 3G network. It takes more time to load big websites like government websites and university websites. With 4G knocking on the door, I expect to reduce this time gap in browsing. I want to browse through every website available websites at great speed and with high level user experience.

Recently, I saw an ad of Airtel 4G and I think Airtel is going to meet my expectation on 4G networks. In the ad, Airtel ensures high speed network and challenges others to beat the lightning speed of Airtel 4G network. As an Airtel user for the long time, this makes very happy. Airtel 4G is the first network to roll out 4G services in India and the roll out extends across 296 cities in India. Well, another eye catching benefit of Airtel 4G is that the 4G services are available at the same price of 3G services.

To make things easy, Airtel delivers 4G sim cards for free (free home delivery). For this, you just need to tweet with #GetAirtel4G hashtag.
